WordPress.com Professional Email is powered by Titan. Watch a demonstration of how your email service will look below:
To add a professional email address to your domain, follow these steps:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP-Admin).
- At the top of the page, you can choose between a monthly or annual subscription.
- Under Professional Email, enter the following details:
- The name of the email address you wish to create (the part before the @ symbol.)
- A password for your email account (minimum 10 characters.)
- If you want to create multiple email addresses, click the “Add another mailbox” button and fill in the same details for the new mailbox. Note that pricing is per mailbox.
- Click the “Purchase” button and complete the checkout process. If your domain is eligible for a free trial, you will not be charged until the end of the trial period.
If you have email forwarding set up with your domain, that will stop working. Email forwarding cannot be used simultaneously with a full email service like Professional Email. Instead, you can set up forwarding within your mailbox settings.
If you have previously created a Titan email for your domain with another provider, you will not be able to purchase Professional Email on WordPress.com.
We are offering three months of Professional Email for free for any registered or connected domains that have not tried Professional Email before. To claim a free trial of Professional Email, follow the steps above to purchase Professional Email. If eligible for a free trial, the charge for Professional Email will be listed as $0.
When the trial ends, you will be charged according to the billing schedule you selected:
- Annual: Your account will be charged for 9 months instead of the total 12 months.
- Monthly: Your account will be charged at the standard monthly price.
You can add as many mailboxes as you require during the free trial. All mailboxes will be free during the trial period (i.e., a new trial period will not start for each new mailbox.) At the end of the trial period, each mailbox will be charged at the standard price.
To access your email inbox:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP-Admin).
- Click the mailbox you wish to open.
- Enter your email address and password on the login screen to check your email.
You can also access your mailbox by visiting https://wp.titan.email/login/ and entering your email address and password.
You can access your mailbox on mobile using the Titan mobile app and other email apps:
Visit your site’s dashboard and navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP-Admin). Here, you will have the following options:
- Add new mailboxes
- Manage all mailboxes
- View billing and payment settings
For complete email settings, access your email’s Control Panel by logging in at https://manage.titan.email/ using the email address and password you set up.
While it’s not possible to edit the text of an email address associated with a mailbox, you can create an email alias. Using an alias, you can send from and receive emails to each alias in the shared inbox.
Alternatively, you can cancel a mailbox and use the existing license for a different mailbox. To do that:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP-Admin).
- Click on “Manage all mailboxes” and then click on any of the links there, such as the “Configure desktop app” link, and you will be redirected to the Titan Control Panel.
- Once in the Control Panel, navigate to “Email accounts” and delete the specific mailbox.
- After deleting the mailbox, you can associate a different email address with the unused mailbox by following Titan’s guide to create an email account. Note: Cancelling the original mailbox also deletes that mailbox’s data. To prevent that, you can use the alias method instead.
When you purchase Professional Email, we automatically add information called DNS records to your domain (as long as your domain is using WordPress.com name servers) so that your domain’s email account can function. These records ensure you can send and receive emails using your domain’s email address.
If you accidentally removed or lost these DNS records, you can restore your Professional Email (Titan) account to a working state. Here’s how you can reset your Professional Email DNS records back to their default settings:
- In your dashboard, go to Upgrades → Domains (or Hosting → Domains if using WP-Admin).
- Click the domain name the email is associated with.
- Click “DNS records” and then click the “Manage” button.
- At the top right, next to the “Import BIND file” button, click the three dots, and choose the “Restore DNS records for Professional Email” option:
If you don’t have the “Restore DNS records for Professional Email” option, this is because of one of two reasons:
- Your email records are set up correctly, so you don’t need to do anything!
- Your DNS is not managed through WordPress.com, so you should follow the steps in the next section to manually add the DNS records for Professional Email.
If your domain’s DNS is managed by another provider, you will need to add the following DNS records to your domain to ensure a working Professional Email (Titan) account:
Type | Value | Priority |
---|---|---|
MX | mx1.titan.email | 10 |
MX | mx2.titan.email | 20 |
TXT | v=spf1 include:_spf.wpcloud.com include:spf.titan.email ~all | N/A |
Adding DKIM and DMARC records can help combat spam. Learn how to set up a DKIM record and a DMARC record.

You can cancel your full Professional Email subscription by following these steps. If you wish to remove just one or some users but keep your account, remove a single mailbox instead.

If you wish to remove just one email address but keep your Professional Email account, follow these steps:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP-Admin).
- Under Mailboxes, you will find a list of each Professional Email email address you have created.
- Click the three dots icon on the right side of the mailbox you want to delete and click “Remove mailbox“.
- After reading the warning “Are you sure you want to remove [email address]? All your emails, calendar events, and contacts will be deleted!” click Confirm to delete the mailbox.
If your Professional Email subscription expired and you wish to restore it, take the following steps:
- Purchase the subscription again using the same email ID (the part before the ‘@’ symbol) as before.
- Contact WordPress.com support.
There is no option within your account to restore an unsubscribed mailbox. If you wish to recover a Professional Email mailbox that you canceled or removed, please contact support for assistance.
