Community Pool

Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

    1. You are in the right place tegzy007. Community pools and first Friday’s are best places to get reconized and interact with others. Visit other bloggers and leave a thumbs up or comment and they will do the same for you.

Don’t forget to leave the link of your latest post. Stay well 😊

  1. Hi everyone! I have a Media/Entertainment website and I recently did a post about Video game-to-movie adaptations and why the Netflix Castlevania series was so good. I’d appreciate feedback on it, specifically if I glossed over the section about character arcs. I’d definitely appreciate it, and if you give me feedback I would gladly check out your website/give feedback. Thanks everyone, happy blogging 🙂

  3. Hello Everyone!
I run a personal bicycle blog and recently put the first blogpost of my new category online: The Bike Garage.
It is supposed to showcase all kinds of bicycles, starting with the bikes I’m riding.

That is the plan for this category so far. It would be great, if you could spend a short minute of your time to check it out and share your thoughts about it. Who knows, maybe you even like it?

    1. Hi, fab post! Do you share on social media platforms so that the younger readers (teenagers!) can find you? I noticed that your site it set up slightly differently to mine. I use a side bar for archives, categories, tags, social media – and use a footer for ‘blogs I like’ and ‘top pages’. If you don’t use tags – I didn’t see any, you may find them beneficial for they’ll help your blog get noticed when people are searching for outside of the blog/social media platform.
I wrote last week on how to write for your blog – you may like to read that for some helpful tips. 🙂

  4. I just started blogging a few weeks ago and have been loving it! I’m a stay-at-home mom and my blog’s a (hopefully) funny look at my often crazy navigation through parenthood. Here is my most recent post to give you a feel…but I’m still struggling how to use appropriate categories and tags. It’s not like my blog is about DIY crown moulding. Would love some feedback. Thanks in advance and good luck to all of you! (Apologies in advance if I didn’t link properly. :/)

  5. Hi everyone! I just recently began blogging and I love it! it’s a great way to express myself and practice my love for writing. I would love some feedback regarding my blog posts! I have not told my friends or family about my blog because what I write about tends to get a bit personal at times, and I am not quite comfortable with the idea of them reading my posts. If you like what you see please share, share, share!! Also like, comment feedback, and follow if you are interested in my posts 🙂 https://thoughtsnchatter.wordpress.com

  6. Hello all, and happy Monday from the Northeastern United States (where it truly is beginning to feel quite cold 😦 ). My latest post speaks of how I wrestle with some of my own life challenges. It was one of those weeks when I really wanted to write something very relevant to those who may be facing difficulties in their lives. I would love to hear your thoughts! https://feelingsuicidalblog.wordpress.com/2017/11/08/beyond-the-storm/
