Community Pool

Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

I have a blog, and I am a lost soul , so is my Blog ,it’s all about the questions we often end up asking ourself, love, life and other complexities.
I tried my hand on creative writing, those often are my emotions.

      1. I just saw someone else who had a black background and he used BLOCK lettering, which I think makes a difference. If you like the Black background, maybe try that and a WHITE font rather than grey it seemed it was. It’s fun to play around with the style… sometimes frustrating, but end result will be GREAT!

  2. I posted a couple of blogs last night, and I would like some feedback on them. We are new at blogging, and are just trying to make the blog worthwhile. Thanks. I am a professor, so I can take the criticism. Let me know in the comments section of my blog.

    1. Hey this is a well laid out blog, I really like the images you’ve chosen for your posts. I’m now following your blog, but not because you’ve asked us to, but because I think it’s really good 🙂

    1. This was incredible! One persons actions can go a long way so keep making your voice heard. You’re right, thoughts and prayers are futile in the face of something so urgently needed. I’m so glad I stumbled across this post👏🏻💛

  3. Hello!
Sometimes, you just cannot help falling for the moments of the past. You just get lost in those memories, trying to live the old times again. Isn’t it?
I wrote a poem which portrays what I go through while reminiscing and thinking about the moments long gone. I would love to receive feedbacks!

Would be glad to know what you think about it!

  5. Hi,
Well, I can’t say that I am new anymore but I still consider myself a very small fish in this pool.
I have started my blog a month and a half ago and would love to hear any feedback regarding the new layout or the topics on my post.
    This is much appreciated! 🙂

  6. Hi!
I’m a reasonably new blogger an I would love it if you could check out my blog!
I have just been nominated by another blogger for a Blogger Recognition award…but I am not really sure who to nominate! Could anyone give me some tips on finding other bloggers who blog about things I might be interested or any other teenage bloggers that I could check out.
    Thanks,
    Little Miss Curious xx

    1. I really liked your theme and style. But I would advise you to create a home page in the menu next to the other pages. Now the only way I can open your articles is by clicking the headline which took me a while to figure it out. The other thing you can do is adding a like and share buttons under your posts. I just followed you. Smiles and Hugs

  7. Hello,

    1. I like your blog. Im not sure if I’m just not using it correctly but I wasn’t able to leave a comment on the post I liked. The post redirected me to your main blog but I would’ve had to log in to something else to comment. So I tried to comment through reader and it gave me an error.

I read your tips on what to do when feeling low:

      1. Thank you! Yes I decided to add the Disqus widget as this gives other people chance to commend other than solely wordpress users 🙂 Thanks for reading my blog! X

  8. I would like to know what people are interested in reading about. My blog is a look at life through my eyes and it is just random things I think about and I hope with some of my posts I am being helpful to others as well. I have not been getting any feedback really and not as much traffic as I would like. thanks in advance for your help! http://www.lifehtroughbrighteyes.wordpress.com
