WordAds Not Displaying

  • Hi there, I just started a new blog and purchased the premium subscription and was accepted into the WordAd program. I launched my blog officially yesterday and I show there are ads being served, but I don’t see ads on my blog, even when checking my site from my husbands phone.

How long do the ads take to populate? Maybe I need to wait a few days? If not, do I have some kid of issue with them showing because of my theme perhaps? I have the Graceful Blog theme.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

Yes you had the answer to your own question in there, it does take a bit of time for ads to appear on your site especially if your site is brand new (congrats on launching your site!) and also even after it’s launched, it can take advertisers some time to check out your site, classify it, and bid on ad placements. We cover that here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordads-and-earn/#i-don-t-see-ads

You can confirm that ads are beginning served (viewed by visitors) in your ads stats here: https://wordpress.com/stats/ads/day/simplymadebyerin.com

Note that the totals at the bottom (under the graph) can take some time to populate but in the bars themselves (if you hover over them) you can see how things went for that day.

Since this is a new site, we have some guidance here on how you can start building traffic to your site. Traffic is essential to making money from ads on your posts: https://wordpress.com/support/getting-more-views-and-traffic/

Also since I see you are using Yoast SEO to optimize your posts, you may want to consider doing a bit of free keyword research that will help you in understanding what you want to optimize for, then Yoast can show you how to optimize that content to work best in search.

We show how it’s done here and it’s not difficult at all

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
