Hi,
I changed my password earlier as I had forgotten it and now all my profile and blog are gone. The blog still exist but I don’t have access to it, it’s like instead of creating a new password it has also created a completely new profile for me, and the previous one is now inaccessible. The blog is https://irishmedievalfriaries.wordpress.com/.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi anneju84,
Sorry to hear about this mix up. Maybe I can help.
The blog irishmedievalfriaries.wordpress.com as well as annejulielafaye.wordpress.com both appear to be functioning in good order. It sounds like you might have created the second blog inadvertently. Additionally, it looks like the second blog has no content to show at the moment (not published yet).
When you are inside your WordPress.com account, do you see the option “Switch Site” on the upper left side of your dashboard? If so, click it.
This will reveal all the websites you currently have under your account. Do you see both of your websites listed there? If so, hurrah! This means you have access to irishmedievalfriaries as well as annejulielafaye.
Click on either one you wish to work on.
Did this help?
You can learn more about adding a new blog or site to an existing account by clicking here.
Also, the reason you are not seeing any content on the annejulielafaye.wordpress.com may be that the front page (or latest blog posts set to the front page) is the currently not published, rather it’s a draft.
Let’s check. While logged into your WordPress.com account, make sure you’re in the dashboard for annejulielafaye.wordpress.com. Click on “Site Pages.” Then look to find out what is set to the front page.
If you are using a static page to display as your front page, do you see it there in the “Published” area? If not, click on the next item to the right of “Published” called “Drafts”. If you see your front page living here, then you need to publish it for it to become visible.
Alternatively, if your Blog Posts are set to display as your front page (it would have said “Blog Posts – Front page is showing your latest posts” at the top of the published pages), then the next step is to click the section in the dashboard sidebar called “Blog Posts” to see if the blog posts are currently published or all living in Drafts.
Then, simply publish what you want to make visible. When you click Publish, be sure you click it again when it prompts you with the green “Publish!” button. This ensures it publishes immediately. You can learn more about scheduling a post here.
Finally, if none of this helped and you cannot access the account you had wanted to get back into, maybe you can get some assistance from the pros. Ask for help from the Happiness Engineers by filling the account recovery form. (By clicking this sentence.)
Has this resolved anything for you? Let me know! :)

Hi there @anneju84, it does look like you created a second username account. The author on the irishmedievalfriaries.wordpress.com is different than the one you are logged in with now to post to this forum.
Please log out of this account and then log back in with the annejulielafaye070418 username account.
Let us know how that goes.

Hi! Many thanks for your help. You were right, I inadvertently created a new username account, and it’s because though they have the same email address, one had a dot (annejulie.lafaye) and the other not… which for Gmail is the same but when im using other website is not. Im still not sure how it happened while changing my password, but anyways, I managed to sign back on the original account all good.
Thanks again!
