Not able to sign in using Chrome
-
I opened Chrome incognito and tried to log in but it failed.
I then removed all my extensions (pocket, pinterest, buffer, ad block plus, and alexa official buttons).
Login was success.

I had the same issue : not able sign in using Chrome with Windows 10. I removed the Alexa extension and since then, it works fine.

same issue. I tried logging in from incognito and still no go. Also tried password recovery but it said no account was found.
Operating system is windows 8 and the latest version of google chrome Version 45.0.2454.101 m
I’ll try downloading firefox and see what happens. Also for those who don’t know how to check what version of chrome your running, go to the tab next to all your plug in icons where you can access your history and bookmarks and junk, then hit settings then to the left hand sidebar hit about. It should be at th etop.

In my case I found the culprit: It’s the official Alexa extension.
I reinstalled it and Chrome kicked me out. I removed it and Chrome allowed me to log in.

Tried using fireforx and i managed to log in alright. Guess i’ll be using a different browser to keep tabs on the blog from now on.
And also that website support details is nice but i feel like people should know the in’s and out’s of their browser to some degree so they can get the most out of it instead of relying on third party solutions. But to each their own I suppose.

I just removed Alexa and logged straight in using Chrome the same as others on here. Problem solved.

Ah, thanks, no wonder we couldn’t duplicate it here. I’ll share this info with our team. Cheers!

Same here – would LOVE to know how the Alexa program could cause WordPress.com to think that I did not have an account. I don’t get the logic there at all. But thank you – removing the official Alexa plug-in was ALL it took to fix the problem!
Guess which I use more – WordPress.com or the Alexa plug-in? Guess which one’s gone for good? :)
