htmo code doesn’t work
-
OK, please remove that, then insert an HTML block, and then paste my code again. It should work.
-
-
Try this: after your last paragraph, press enter.
Type /html
You should see the HTML block option pop up. That’s the HTML block. Click on it, and paste my code in it. (noting the code you shared here will not work.)
-
this is driving me nuts! I did what you said with a block and without a block using exactly the code you gave me and it still only shows html on the published post!!!???

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching back out.
I think something has got lost in translation here, most likely through various copying and pastes. The code I see in place is:
It should be:
<a href="https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=QZAXP7D8FU7SQ"> <img src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donate_LG.gif" alt="Click here to donate ... thanks much!"></a>
The & l t ; is actually the HTML for this symbol < hence the confusion.
I’ve just updated the post with the correct code and it looks like it’s appearing :)
I hope this helps.

Once again thanks for your help!
Another puzzle for me is how to edit my posts’ menu? I stumbled upon it once in the past by shear dumb accident but have not been able to find it again ever since then!!?? -
Hi there,
To edit that menu go to WordPress.com > My Site > Design > Customize > Menus > My Blog’s.
You can find more information on how to rearrange, add, or remove any items in this document:
-
-
-
Yes, you can select a different image for the button. You can find more in the guide on how to create that button:
-
-
Their donation embed code won’t work here, you’ll need to specifically follow the steps posted at https://wordpress.com/support/paypal/
-
Keep coming to you for support, thanks. How do you add pictures to posts? Even though it is encouraged when writing a post I cannot see any obvious way to actually do it..??
-
You can use the Image block:
However, there are several other types of image blocks you can use. There’s the Cover block, the Gallery block, and many more. You can find them all here:

There is no “not like” button but, if you like, you can give your readers an option to Vote:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/vote-block/.
You can also enable the likes as explained here:

Thanks for your reply. I’ve now selected the optional features for voting as suggestet but don’t see any change on my posts? Does it only apply to the newest posts or am I missing something.? Thanks again.
