Domain recovery after deleting account
-
Somebody has unfortunately deleted the whole account several months ago, but the domain ist still needed. The domain whois points to us (contact form reaches us). Now we reopened an account with the same login E-Mail and need to connect the domain again to our account.
How is it possible that someone of the WP.com team connects the domain to our account again?. It’s clear that this might result in additional costs.
Thanx for help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello, I saw that others have been able to buy their domain back again in the last days. I would really appreciate help :-)

Hello there!
Thank you for reaching out! The domain finnishtogo.com is neither in redemption status nor has it been cancelled. It’s currently active under a different WordPress.com user account than the one you’re currently logged into.
To manage the domain, you’ll need to log out of the @virpi096437717f account and log into the correct account associated with the domain.
I hope this explanation clarifies things for you! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hallo heroponriki, thank you so much for your support! I believie that the old account was deleted. How can we find out the Username of the blog connected to the domain fintasticwomen.wordpress.com? If we knew we could start recovery and try to find out from which e-Mail we have activated the account. I’m sure that the connected E-Mail address is still working, but the address we thougt is now connected to the new account.
Have a nice day and again many thanks für helping us!

The account is active – any account with active upgrades cannot be deleted.
We’re not able to disclose any details about the account for security reasons. However, if you have the transaction IDs from charges on this account, you can use the Account Recovery form to prove ownership of the site, then WordPress.com support can help you from there. You can find that form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Just fill out as much information as you have, including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as
WordPress
followed by a ten-digit letter/number code. They’ll look like this:WordPress XXXXXXXXXX
You can read more about what the account recovery process entails here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
I hope that clarifies things!
