Account Recovery Help
-
This site is what I use as a portfolio but the linked phone number (for 2fa) is no longer active. I had not used or edited the page in a while and had completely forgetten about using the number on this site. I also do not have the activation email or link; I most likely deleted it.
Is there another way to recover access? I can provide the login credentials, email address used, and the phone number in question.
Thanks.

That’s the moment you must use one the backup codes you got when you set up to 2FA and you had to store on a safe place.

I set up the site years ago and sort of forgot about it. Don’t recall having back up codes at all.

Hi there!
Can you share the link to the site you’re having trouble accessing? If you’re sure it’s hosted on WordPress.com, please submit the account recovery form here, and we’ll get back to you via email to help you log in.
If you’re using WordPress.org on a different host, you’ll need to contact the hosting service provider for help.
There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Hello there. I tried this form before posting but it won’t let me submit without at least one item of Proof of Ownership.
I am positive it’s on wordpress.com because I can (still) login, but get stuck at the 2fa prompt.

Hi @crunchingcarded996, try writing to
passwordhelp@wordpress.com
from the email address on file with that account (use the one that gets notifications and reminders for the site). Share the link to the site, the username, the recovery phone number, and the fact that you can’t find your codes. They will evaluate your case.
