Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Lovely post. Often time people think one track and refuse to see the artist as a person by itself. They try to put each person in a defined box. Looking forward to more post.

I did a book review of Kathe Koja’s “The Cipher”. Featured in numerous “Top 10 Horror Novel” lists, this book was finally re-released after it went out of print in the 1990’s. I’ve never read anything quite like it, and it’s a great bet for fans of horror and weird literature. https://bldaniels.wordpress.com/2018/05/08/book-review-the-cipher-by-kathe-koja/

I would say give an actual step by step tutorial of using a grid (or whatever it is being featured in that piece)! From the way the posts are framed, it feels like that should be there ☺

I LOVED that, and I can’t help but to agree with it 100%. Great job!

Hello bloggers
Do you ever feel insecure about anything. A wise man once said that the only thing that stops us are our insecurities. Check out my recent blog on that.

I really enjoyed reading your post. I’m very introverted as well and struggle with major insecurities. I am very fearful of making mistakes and not being perfect. Even though I’m not very religious, I’ve started to find beauty in myself, and I’ve been working towards letting myself just live in the moment. Life is too valuable and too short for us to spend time worrying about these minuscule things!
Great post!

If you enjoy reading movie reviews from films both old and new then give a glance to my blog. I only write reviews on movies that I’m watching for the first time and trying to do as many as I can this year. So far this year I’ve reviewed 119 movies with number 120 to follow shortly.

Also, I’m interested in hearing insights/wisdom from those of you who allow ads to run on your blog or have otherwise partnered up with Amazon, etc. to earn income from blogging. How is that done? What should I know before I get into that? Comment here for this topic, or use my Contact Me! page for a more private conversation. Thanks!

If you are trying to get the “Pinterest pin” look then I highly recommend Canva. It’s a website where you can make stunning header images and customize them. This is how I created my logo. Check it out my site.

Remember that Pinterest is a search engine and people are generally looking for ‘how to’ do something. It is a very powerful tool – I get around 6k impressions a month.

I have focused on how-to language in my pins, and I know that it can be powerful (hence my question), but I would like to focus on my images currently ☺
