Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Happy Monday everyone!
Hope everyone has had a good day so far! This week I wanted to share with you one of my (favourite!) posts that I have created. I show you my favourite “Instagram worthy” spots around Dubai! You can find the link to this post below!
https://josiearana.com/2017/09/20/dubai-most-instagram-worthy-spots/
I’m hoping to get more consistent with my posting and restricting it to a post every two weeks. Some of my followers know that I’m currently in graduate school doing my masters, and I also travel a lot, so I feel like this will be the best way to stay consistent and produce content that I love!
Hope you enjoy this post and I would love to hear your feedback and read your posts too!

Thank you, Donna! Yes, as I mentioned I am currently doing a masters and have quite a lot of work, I have found that I rather would space out my blog posts (a.k.a every two weeks or so) as I want to be able to not only put in as much effort as I want it to be but also not force work as I’m sure that would translate!
Thanks again!

Hello Everyone, Happy New Week!
This is an old post I’d like to share… I teach students in architecture, and this post shows images of some of the best work that was produced by the students last year (from Year 1 to Year 5). I enjoy looking these images to try to understand their ideas – ideas which are developed with some sense of reality, but with a healthy amount of creative freedom!
Thanks for checking it out – I’d love to hear your first impressions.

Hello everybody, Simon from To Cut a Short Story Short here with my latest post. This time it’s Monasticity, a tale of beer, books and marital strife! (1000 words). I hope you enjoy it!
https://simonjwood.wordpress.com/2017/11/25/monasticity/
Also, I have some promotional codes left for FREE copies of my new audiobook, To Cut a Short Story Short: 111 Little Stories, the ‘best of my blog’ (up to June 2017). If you’d like one, please click the ‘Free Audiobook!’ link in the ‘recent posts’ sidebar on my blog. That also gives you full details of how to obtain and download it. It’s narrated by Angus Freathy, who has done 15 audiobooks to date. I think his ‘voices’ really bring the stories to life!

Over at my blog, I run a daily word of the day style a la British English words and phrases, with a side speciality in Irish and Scottish and Australian words too! I mostly dabble in flash fiction, but poetry is a new avenue I’m loving to explore. Today I tried my hand at suspense and mystery.

Hello to all the readers and writers out here!
Recently I wrote a poem and would love to know what you think about it! I feel that poetry is one of the best possible ways of understanding and calming the turmoils of emotions that one goes through.
Also, on closer notice, you’ll see five WordPress icons on my site (in the menu). They are thumbnails for the five pages that I have. However, I am unable to remove them or replace them by some pictures. Adding featured images also didn’t help. I would be extremely glad if anybody could help me out with that!
Here’s the link to my poem:
Hope you like it!

What a question! I’m disseminating history of events or people that I find fascinating. I’m not sure that there is a message with that (I haven’t thought too deeply). It’s an ‘ooh that’s interesting! I’ll write about that!’ process.

I related to this a lot more than I initially thought I would lol so shame on me for that; but I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read it! 😁 I have the tendency to cry when extremely frustrated; but then I’d get teased for how easily I cried in books or movies. Wow, am I ever-so-glad to have waited for this weekly ritual to come: The WordPress Community Pool! And so with that, all of you bloggers and blog followers out there, I have just published a few new posts today (and I just wanted you to know that it’s my birthday today! Yippeee!!!)…Oh, and finally, here is one more reminder: Next Monday KALEIDOSCOPE will present its holiday story serial extravaganza, and this year it is the retelling of the classic tale of “Hansel & Gretel”; You can find all of the details, as well as all of the posts in which I have published in the past few weeks, all right here at http://www.j2w7.wordpress.com! Have a blessed week, with ♡-JW

You meet a million people,
Keep a few,
Love only one,
But, you still search for another one.
Read. Relate. Review.

Hey Guys!
I recently wrote a short fictional musing on a Rainbow, giving it some more deep meanings. Do have a look and let me know what you think.

My blog doesn’t fit into one criteria of writing. It has everything, from poetry to motivation to photography and is basically my life on the blog. I hope you find my content aesthetically pleasing!
Do leave links to your blogs as well, as I’d love to read them.
Have a great week ahead.

Good morning/afternoon/evening wherever you are!
This week am still pushing on with the microfiction series I began last week, and the story (I hope) is beginning to fall in place.
I hope you’ll all enjoy reading it, cheers!

No need to check out my blog. I just wanted to say congrats on getting the commission for the Hunger Games piece. That’s very impressive. It also sounds like such a fascinating topic that I hope you post a link to it when it’s published. All the best.

You’re quite welcome. I’m in awe of what you’re doing, I really am. I can’t wait to see the final product. (And I see you did stop by my place – thanks for that, although you didn’t have to. It’s kind of a mess…) 🙂
