Community Pool

Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  1. Happy Monday, and happy upcoming Thanksgiving! 🙂

I write a blog about baby and character names. Recently added a new page where you can see if and when I’ve written about names related to a particular theme; topics include (but aren’t limited to) coffee-inspired names and Marvel characters. If there’s a theme I haven’t written about that you’d like to see, let me know and I’ll look into it!

      1. Dare I suggest it’s a little odd? It’d probably make people curious, just like me, haha.
Remember the game Cafe World? That’s where I got Joe from! 🙂

    1. I like this post, but for some reason I couldn’t see any of the images. I am not sure if there is a problem with the link between your blog and your instagram account??

Sorry about that. Maybe it was just a problem with my computer.

  2. A very blessed Monday to all of my fellow bloggers and blog followers out there…Among the many things in which I am thankful for is that I had finally found a place in which I can express myself through my creativity, that is, my creativity through my own art and writing; Those places are WordPress and Amazon.com, and I have just published my newest upcoming e-book for Kindle called “DOVER, DELAWARE IN BLACK & WHITE”; It will be released in Kindle format on February 6th, 2018, but if you would like to pre-order my e-book so that it will be delivered to your Kindle or your smartphone that has a Kindle reading app, go to http://www.amazon.com, and just look for “DOVER, DELAWARE IN BLACK & WHITE”, which happens to be a photo gallery of some of the landmarks of the capital of the first state in glorious digital black & white…Meanwhile, since Thanksgiving is coming up in three days and that you need some kind of a last-minute preparation for the big holiday, you can check out some of my posts that have dessert ideas as well as ideas for that certain turkey…and NO, I do not mean me!!! You can find all of these things and so very much more at my blog: http://www.j2w7.wordpress.com! Oh, and don’t forget: Monday, December 4th is where KALEIDOSCOPE is proud to present its story serial extravaganza of the retelling of “Hansel & Gretel”; You’ll find all of the complete details right at my blog at: http://www.j2w7.wordpress.com! A very happy & blessed Thanksgiving to one and all, with ♡-JW

  3. Hello to all the readers and writers out here!

I recently wrote a poem which I hope all the writers and poets will be able to relate with. I would love to know what you think about it!

Also, do let me know if you could identify who I was talking about in the poem before I revealed it in the last line!

    Here’s the link:

Would be glad to receive feedbacks!

    1. Hi I loved the way you write. The language is simple yet so different and refreshing. I love the idea you have portrayed via your poem. I think the ending is also very ingenious. Keep going!

  4. Welcome new bloggers.
Fancy learning more about the fascinating workings of surrealist art?! Then check out and follow my blog and learn more you shall. In my latest post I discuss the source of the technique employed by the genius surrealist artist Salvador Dali; a process which would later spawn his mad worlds of long-legged elephants, flying tigers, melting clocks and desolate wastelands… Check it out here:

    1. I also saw this movie, and I must say I was a bit disappointed. Being a fan of DC growing up I expected more. It’s tough to say but Marvel seems like they’re going to continue to be on top of superhero movies. Nice post

    1. Hi,

I read your Thanksgiving post! How fast did you write that post?
I don’t know if anyone else felt the same, but I felt I had to read it fast, like it was written at a pace! It was like the post had its own vibrancy and you had to go with the flow! Well done!:)

    1. Going into blogging to the purpose of making money is tough. Followers can be turned off by ads on your page without great content. I would suggest starting your blog out of passion. Be passionate about your topic, your followers will see your passion. Money will come if you stay committed to your blog, but if the sole purpose of your blog is to make money it’ll be tough

    1. What a very powerfully written posts about introverts! Very well done!!! 🙂

When I have more time, I plan on returning to your blog and poking through. However, I did notice on your main page you had some WP filler text still to describe some of your options to click through.

      Thank you for sharing.

  7. Allloohhhaaa!! I am new to the blogging community and looking for feedback in regards to my blogging style. I blog to a rhythm in my head when I blog and they come out poetic. I am form Hawai’i so a lot of my blogs are about Hawai’i and resistance for the system, resistance of allowing others to keep me confined! Read and enjoy and I’d appreciate any feedback! Please feel free to look around in the blogs I have posted!

Great post – I think with the large photos you had just the right amount of text between them.
I gave you a follow – but I couldn’t find the like button for the post! (That may just be me!)
