New blogger? Welcome! Share a link to your first post, say hello to other new faces, and find your first few readers.

If you’re not new and are looking for support or feedback, the Community Pool is the place for you!For technical questions, visit the WordPress.com Support Forums.
To learn more about blogging, take a Blogging U. course.
To find, copy, and paste your link:
Head to your blog’s home page — not your dashboard, your blog itself. Click on the title of your post to open the individual post.Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.
Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.
Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.
We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:
- We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
- When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
- Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
- Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
- To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.
Currently blogless? You’re a click away from sharing your story.

Eek, my post is so amateur, I feel quite nervous! I’m really struggling with how to use it. I think I have two user names and I don’t know have to use the first one I created, maybe it’s lost now. Either way, I after reading Blogging for Dummies and brainstorming ideas in a scrappy exercise book I took to the keyboard and write my first post. I hit the launch button last night! Looking forward to reading some blogs on topics I know nothing about, I should probably hit the tech pages first! Enjoy your blogging journey everyone!

Hey! This link doesn’t work. I was going to post your correct link as I’ve seen others do but I’m not sure that project minimum is your website name either. You may be right that you’re using two different usernames and/or sites. I have two sites, but when I go to ‘my sites’ it asks me to pick which one I want to write from.

No worries- just wanted people to be able to see it (and to see myself- definitely interested in seeing how others are going about this blogging thing). Thank you for stopping by! I commented on yours as well. I aspire to minimalism but I’m the daughter of a hoarder basically- the outlook isn’t good.

I’m a newbie too. Blogging about experiences living in an RV as we fix up a 100-yr-old farm house.

Really, not anew blogger but a 1st time WordPress blogger. It took me a moment or thirty to figure out the process, actually the topic of my latest post “Blogged Down in Technology”. All part of the many twists and turns in my newly restarted life, “Jersey to Georgia”. Please, feel free to critique, I can surely use the guidance! Peace, Ed

Hello all!
I am a law student who created a blog to share the many bizzare events that seem to come with the territory. Every day has something weird going on with either the students, clients at work, or just in any day to day interaction.
I created the blog for a form a theraputic excerise, but I figured some might find it readable, minamly.

Currently contemplating law (I have a broader interest in child welfare/family work) so I’ll follow along!

I am working on building a healthy living and lifestyle blog, focused on family life, the benefits of positive thinking and self growth. I also share some creative writing. My recent post I am hoping to get some feedback on if the content is truly helpful and insightful to readers? All of my writing I like to back with personal research into psychology and healthy thinking habits. Check it out and feel free to advise if you found it insightful https://inspirememomblog.wordpress.com/2017/09/29/5-resources-to-mindfully-recharge-and-find-the-positive-in-your-life/

If you work with kids, have kids, love libraries and/or children’s literature, or if you’re a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you’ll find something on my blog that’s relevant to you. And if you’re not any of the above, you may still find it to be an interesting read!

Feminist, married life, rescue dogs, social work, mental health — all just a part of life! I used to dream of being a fiction writer (actually went to school for it), but now instead I choose to use words to share real life and process its twists & turns.
