Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

  1. Hey everyone, I am looking for some feedback on my recently made blog showing the designs of my mobile app in the making. The app is based on Neuroscience, Social Science and Sport and Exercise Science (my own field) to deliver an unseen solution towards improving health, mentally or physically.

Come along and see what we have so far 🙂

      1. Hey Jessica!

I’m not doing any live stream reviews right now, and considering how it’s super late (2am) right now, I will not be able to review your work as BUT I will take note of your request and check em out after my slumber and day lol.

Till then, I hope your sky is good to you and I will talk to you again soon 😉

      2. Okay Jessica, I’ve just reviewed your blog and love everything so far!

Imageries used fits the topic in discussion and the clean arrangement definitely will help make the experience of your visitors’ a good one.

The only thing I’ve noticed missing is just an “Archive” section which would allow easy navigation for your future readers who may wish to access your older content.

Not necessary to add, but its definitely an option to consider.

Your content includes info which not many blogs of the same category go into so that’s a good thing to take note of.

Hope this helped bud! Keep up the good work 😉

Naturally, if you got any questions etc, do let me know!

I will look into adding an archives section as I think this will be useful 😊thanks a lot for differentiating my blog from similar ones as I’m really hoping to stand out as unique in fitness blogging 😊

    1. The composition of your photos is fantastic – really well done! As for storytelling tips, it’s always good to remember that there can be prompts anywhere. Over on our site, we focus on nostalgia so everything we do we tie back to that one concept. It’s an approach that works well for us, as we can focus certain posts on certain things. It’s a little bit of a backwards prompt. Maybe having some themes or posting certain types of pictures on certain days would help, and then doing some writing about that concept. Just a few ideas! Love your site!

      1. Thank you! What do you mean “in a way”? Is there something that could make them more relatable? Or can you pinpoint what makes them relatable in the way that they are?

      2. I would say that I could relate to your post regarding; you’re fine and few second afterwards you feel like you want to disappear, to be happy or not but more like thinking about others, are they happy seeing the actions made. We think too much for ourselves too much of others as well, leads to feeling lost. I’m not sure if my perspective is similar to yours, thats explains the “in a way”.
Overall, I like your post, it makes me feel like I’m not the only one to feel this way, but things will be better by thinking positive.

    1. I like your writer’s voice. There’s something dark about your work, but it’s subtle. The writing feels earnest. I’ve always appreciated somber, thoughtful art.

    1. I’m glad you’re back. Your posts are entertaining and informative. If they have developed a fair understanding of the Q-factors, perhaps the next step could be determing how to stimulate Q-factors in scientists. That sounds like a fun project. https://gracelead.co

    1. I really liked your post “Is it too early for some Christmas cheer?” Over on our blog, we love Christmas too, and think finding joy in the season can help add so much to our lives. We just wrote about how being nostalgic during this time of year can help you have brighter holidays: https://nostalgiadiaries.com/2016/11/29/three-amazing-ways-being-nostalgic-can-brighten-your-holidays/?iframe=true&theme_preview=true

  4. Hey everyone! I hope you’re all well! I recently created an upcoming movie releases page for my lil film blog, Flicks and Pieces! It (should) show each and every upcoming film release date for the UK and US, in two (hopefully) handy calendars:

    https://flicksandpieces.com/2016/11/07/movie-calendars/

It would be amazing if I could get some feedback on the page, just to make sure that it’s working OK. Is there anything I can add or change which might be handy?

    Thanks in advance 😊

    Happy Monday!
