New blogger? Welcome! Share a link to your first post, and say hello to some other fresh faces.
If you’re already a few posts into your blog and are looking for support or feedback, the Community Pool is the place for you!

Want to learn more about blogging? Take a Blogging U. course.
If a blogger publishes her first post and no one reads it, did it really happen? Of course it did! But when someone does read it, even better. Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community.
To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here; feel free to introduce yourself, and tell us what you hope to blog about. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment. The first recognition a blogger gets is powerful, and you can provide that for someone brand-new!
Need help finding, copying, and pasting your link?
Head to your blog’s home page.
Click on the title of your post to open the individual post page.
Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar. You can copy by going to the Edit menu in your browser and selecting Copy, or with a keyboard shortcut (Control+C for a PC, Command+C on a Mac).
Paste the URL into a comment here. You can paste by going to the Edit menu in your browser and selecting Paste, or with a keyboard shortcut (Control+V for a PC, Command+V on a Mac).
That’s it!
You can make this a useful space for new bloggers with a few simple guidelines:
- We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit one or two other bloggers here. New readers for all!
- When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.
- Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago. Post should have been published within the last month. We’ll remove older posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.
- Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
- Keep comments civil. Even better: visit a blogger and leave your comment directly on their blog!
- To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you’ve never looked at our Commenting Guidelines, now might be a good time.

Hello everyone,
I just started my blog this week. Mainly for myself but love hearing other people’s perspectives/input as well. Place for random thoughts, traveling, food.

Trying to make it as an author! My first books are out there on Amazon and I have been working hard on my new website http://www.britannicabooks.com which links straight to my blog. Any interest would be welcome!

Hi everyone,
I’m so glad for this forum. Nice to see a community of people who are actually interested in seeing the next person succeed rather than trying to pull each other down. I used to write (way back in high school) but somehow lost my passion to write as the years went by. I’m at a crossroads in my life right now and just decided to start writing again. I hope what I have written makes sense to someone. Drop by and give a like or a comment. I would love to see you there. PS: Most of what I write is musings – many “I wonders”. Except for the one linked below. This is my attempt at humour. See ya.

Hi Sue, I think your story is compelling and despite you saying you’ve never really understood lyrical poetry, “chai tea for the tai chi master” is pure poetry! In our old town I enjoyed early morning tai chi three times a week while I was pregnant with our first, and also would practice the art while living in China years ago. I am glad you are learning something new in your ‘year of yes.’ Please check out my blog focused on spirituality as well: https://gospelisosceles.wordpress.com/

Hey, I loved your blog! I wanted to comment but it wanted my name, email and website. Too many things to type and so I did not comment. Probably, it’s because of your theme or something about your settings. I’m not sure for I’m new here myself. Would love to read and comment on your posts, if only that would be a little easier 🙂

Hi 🙂 Thanks for visiting! I fixed the settings so you can comment without leaving a name or e-mail. Thanks for pointing that out for me. Appreciated!

Yes, now it would be so easy! And I love your blog! I read your first post. Hoping to read much more! Your theme, kind of collaborates with mine. I endeavour to heal broken souls with my posts, so people can connect with whatever I write and feel happy about everything in the end. Do give my blog a visit! 🙂

I like your writing style. I feel like you’re just having a conversation with me. A rapid fire one, but a good one! Best line “always one “aint” away from being ghetto but miles away from being nominated a debutante.” I can relate!

Hi all, thanks for the opportunity to talk about my blog. I am new to all this but have done a couple of posts already, but feeling a bit discouraged with lack of viewings. Your feedback (hopefully mostly kind ones!) will spur me on. This is my latest post- I am mostly a foodie, so majority of my posts are food related with a bit of travel thrown in!

Hello All! I’m quite new to WordPress. I write about fibromyalgia, depression and celiac disease – I treat them all with a big dash of humor and sarcasm, so it’s not a medical guide. More like a fun way to look at those illnesses, which are bugging me. I will be also sharing some gluten free recipes. This was my third post (the first one was really short and the second one was a recipe): https://algossite.wordpress.com/2016/05/02/fibra-myo-algos-known-to-me-as-the-unbearable-pain-of-fibers-and-muscles/
Thanks IA for all the feedback! 🙂

Be patient and true to your intention. Writing is important, do not overthink followers, likes, keep your passion alive and do not be stingy in following many. 🙂 Do I sound like a dithering grandparent?
