Sharing Buttons Block

Use the Sharing Buttons block to give your readers the ability to easily share your content to Facebook, Tumblr, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and a range of other services to help spread your message across the web.

Adding and configuring the Sharing Buttons block

Add the Sharing Buttons Block

To add the Sharing Buttons block, click the + Block Inserter icon and search for “sharing buttons”. Click to add the block to any template, post, or page.

Add Sharing Buttons

After adding the Sharing Buttons block, click the + block inserter that appears inside the block to choose your first button:

A list of buttons will appear. Click on the button you wish to add, then repeat the process for each social sharing service you wish to display a button for.

You can add buttons for the following supported services:

  • Print
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Mail
  • Mastodon
  • Pinterest
  • Pocket
  • Reddit
  • Telegram
  • Tumblr
  • WhatsApp
  • X/Twitter
  • Nextdoor
  • Bluesky

Sharing Buttons Block Toolbar

When you click on the Sharing Buttons block, a toolbar of options will appear above or below it:

The Sharing Buttons block has the following options in its toolbar:

Sharing Buttons Block Settings

When you select a block, you will find additional block settings in the right sidebar. If you do not see the sidebar, you may need to click the Settings icon in the top-right corner to bring up the settings. This icon looks like a square with two uneven columns:

The Sharing Buttons block includes the following settings:

Layout Settings

  • Justification: Justify all individual buttons in the block to the left, center, or right. You will also find the option to create equal space between each button.
  • Orientation: If you have multiple sharing buttons in the block, this will display them horizontally (next to each other) or vertically (one underneath the other.)
  • Allow to wrap to multiple lines: With this option enabled (recommended), multiple buttons will move to a new line if the browser window is too small to display each button on the same line.

Choose the Button Appearance

You can choose from several different appearances of your social share buttons:

Icon & Text:

Icon Only:

The Sharing Buttons block also includes Advanced Settings.

Sharing Buttons Block Styles

In the block settings sidebar, click on the Styles icon to access the design settings for the block. The Styles icon is in the shape of a circle with half of the circle filled in:
