AI Assistant Block

The AI Assistant Block adds AI-powered text generation into the WordPress editor, enabling you to draft, transform, translate, and alter both new and existing content leveraging the capabilities of AI.

About the Jetpack AI Assistant

Jetpack AI is your AI assistant in the WordPress Editor. Use it to save time writing with effortless content crafting, tone adjustment, title generation, grammar checks, translation, and more.

The Jetpack AI Assistant is currently included with all our paid plans. Free plan sites come with 20 free requests, and can purchase the AI Assistant add-on as needed.

Add the AI Assistant Block

To add the AI Assistant block, click on the + Block Inserter icon and search for “AI Assistant”. Click to add the block to the post or page.

Using your keyboard, you can also type /ai on a new line and press enter to quickly add a new AI Assistant block.

Generate AI Content

When you first add the AI Assistant block to your post or page, it looks like this:

In the box labeled Ask Jetpack AI, type your prompt and click Send. Alternatively, click on Write with AI… to open a dropdown list of writing prompts to help you get started.

At this point, the AI Assistant begins generating your content. If the information in the output is incorrect or not exactly as you wanted, you can click Stop in the prompt bar. You can also use the Esc key on the keyboard to stop AI content generation.

After the AI Assistant completes its answer, click Accept if you are happy with the result. The AI Assistant will be removed, leaving the text in a Paragraph block.

Alternatively, click Try again in the toolbar to continue working on your AI prompt:

When you click on the block, a toolbar of options will appear above it:

The AI Assistant block has the following options in its toolbar:

There are also Send and Accept buttons at the bottom.

You can edit the prompt and click Send to regenerate AI Content. The Accept button causes the AI content to be integrated into the page or post by converting it to regular blocks.
