import a jetpack backup file on localhost

    Hi there,

    I need to make some changes on a client’s website but i don’t want to mess it up on the live server so a i prefer to work on a local server xampp. I already made and download the backup from the live server and now i can’t upload it on the localhost.
    Since the jetpack is on offline mode i can’t use any fuctions. How to do it?

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com servers. It is using the WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.

    You can get more information about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    The staff members can not access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are separate entities.
