Bio
Inspired by a lack of access to capital for minorities wishing to start or expand their own businesses, Jamal Muhammad became the founder and CEO of Consumer Capital Group (CCG), a financial services company he started in 2013. Consumer Capital Group is a conglomerate of business partners, entities, and financial institutions that support and provide funding or give access to capital that is used to help small businesses and individuals have a competitive advantage or even playing field in the commercial and business funding arena. Consumer Capital Group provides financial and estate planning by putting financial portfolios in place to assist with identifying financial goals such as savings, investments, retirement planning, college funding, and college scholarships.
Jamal Muhammad, CEO of Consumer Capital Group, financial advisor, business broker, and life insurance agent, has earned Series 6, 63, and 26 licenses and an MBA from Keller School of management with a certification in entrepreneurship. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University, negotiations certificate from Northwestern University, mediation certificate from St. Xavier University, and a life insurance producer’s license. He began his illustrious career in finance at Deutsche Bank, the largest German bank in America originally founded in Berlin.
Mr. Muhammad recruits and partners with other agents and insurance partners to open up offices and distribution centers in various communities to provide financial products, financial education, access to capital to fund businesses, and expansion of business operations. He has hired over five thousand agents to become licensed life insurance producers and has opened up sixteen new offices in thirteen years in New York, North Carolina, and Illinois since 2008. His goal is to help people become financially independent. A proponent of financial education and financial literacy, Jamal Muhammad gives back to the community by volunteering his time to the community by teaching teens and adults about financial literacy and entrepreneurship. On the personal side, Jamal Muhammad is a doting father of a seventeen year old daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys reading financial books, watching movies, and fine dining.
