Zero to Hero: Day Twenty-Six
-
What’s wrong with me? I never do drafts and I didn’t have any! This task was extra difficult for me also because I’ve never written anything but photo captions and haikus for the blog. This challenge is really doing my blog good — I just published my 290th post and it’s an article/column! Whether it’s good or bad, I’m proudly sharing:

@maraeastern, kudos! It’s great to feel like you’re growing and making progress.
@maryslow, doesn’t it? A little security blanket.

Today’s challenge is really funny, as it is something I have been thinking about for the past couple of days.
One of my most popular posts was a a post about how I got my favourite tuscan baked egg recipe (with the recipe), and lots of people responded to it with a love of all things Italian. Having lived there for a few years, I figure that I certainly have something to say on the subject, and its always a good idea to give your readers what they want, so I’ve been working out how to split up the huge subject and focus on particular aspects, and how to time them so I don’t just bombard with nothing but Italy for a few weeks!
My next post will be on my favourite shops in New York which I’m hoping to write tonight, but I also plan on creating a set of (very draft) drafts corresponding to the Italian posts I want to write, and from there I can just pick up when I want.
So this challenge has taught me how I can creatively use drafts I guess, very useful! -
i’ve been so much left behind, but i hope it’s ok to send my post for day 6 in this forum.
http://galontrip.wordpress.com/2013/12/31/europe-in-north-america/i also have a question about tagging. is tagging only compatible for posts, not pages? i updated my pages, but no space for tagging.
thx! -
I dont really have enough posts to go back and garner information to re blog from as it would be too early and seem just like a rehash of something I posted not long ago.
However, it has got me thinking about collecting ideas, drafting etc which I am starting to do now, rather than keeping them in my head and forgetting.
Is there a way if you see something on someone else’s blog that you like and think about re-blogging but don’t want to re-blog it right now that you can save that as a draft?
-
@eclecticoddsandends, not automatically. I’d just pop the link into a draft and save that to return to later.
-
@michelleweber thank you that’s a logical and good idea I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! Slaps my forehead :-)
