  • Hello theherovishal,

Everything looked in order on http://inspiringinfinity.wordpress.com — is that the site?

  • Yes this is the site. But I cannot see this site as well as other wordpress pages also properly, i.e, they appear without any graphics, logos, images, etc and only text. I mean even the http://www.wordpress.com from which I login into my account is also not displayed correctly and shows plain text only.

Please tell me if there is any way to upload the screenshots here so you may have a better idea about the exact problem I am facing.

  • This sounds like an issue with your browser. Have you tried using a different browser?

Please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/

If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Also, consider checking out this article about dealing with browser issues.

  • As I mentioned in the question, I have already tried using different browsers (Chrome and Mozilla ) which are updated as well as also cleared all history and cookies but it did not solve the problem.

I have already gone through the said page regarding browser issues and did all the things like upgrading flash player, deleting cookies etc. Regarding the internet connection, I used my mobile data service by usb tethering to access wordpress but the problem persists.

Although I have not tried disabling all extensions and add ons. I will try that but have little hope it would solve the issue as the problem remains even if I access it from Chrome mobile which I guess do not use any extension or add ons.

  • @theherovishal,

Have you done a speedtest to check your internet speeds? Try out http://www.speedtest.net for a speed test.

  • Well the other sites are opening quite normally and I have been getting regular download speed I am supposed to get with 512kbps broadband i.e., around 50-60 KBps. So I don’t think there is any issue with speed.

  • Maybe it’s a problem with the DNS of the IP (Internet Provider). See here for a similar issue (FYI spanish forum):

  • Hi there,

As galois mentioned, it’s very likely a connection problem between your computer/internet provider and the WordPress.com server.

Can you please try opening these three links?

If each page loads correctly, you should see a bunch of text (CSS code) there. That’s the code that gives WordPress.com sites the correct styles.

If one or more of those links doesn’t open for you, please let me know.

  • Hi

None of the links mentioned by rachelmcr opened. All of them showed “The webpage is not available” message. The other sites are opening so its not like the one which shows up when there is poor connectivity.

  • Hi there,

Those links are the ones that add style to WordPress.com sites, so they show up as more than just plain text. If you can’t access those links at all, it means something is blocking the connection between your computer and those WordPress.com servers.

WordPress.com can’t control if something like your internet service provider is blocking that connection. I would recommend contacting your internet service provider, tell them about your troubles, and see what they can do to help you.
