Why Upgrade my Plan?

    Hello! I recently started a blog, and it is still very small. As I was reading through the plan options, I didn’t really understand the benefit for the Blogger or Personal Plan (other than removing WP adds). Do these include additional Jetpack plugins compared to the Free Plan? How do ads work? What is the difference between the Blogger and Personal plan? If I want to keep my domain name in the future, how much does it cost? Do I need hosting? I just need as much basic info as you can give me on these two plans.

    Here you can find a more detailed article about the advantages of each plan https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/.

    Basically, with the Blogger plan you’ll be able to have a custom .blog domain name and a few more other features (mentioned in the article I attached). If you want to have a different custom domain (like .com for example), the Personal plan is the one that you’re looking for. You won’t need a separate hosting. The website will be hosted right here, on WordPress.com.

    If you’ll ever want to move from WordPress.com to another host, you can keep your domain.
