  is linked to under the category “photo galleries” with the single word “internal” indentifying galleries within the site. But there is a open dot or bullet mark following the word “internal” in the sidebar.

  This is the “link rating” – it’s actually a zero, not a bullet. you’re using the links widget, and you have the “Show Link Rating” setting checked. Uncheck it to hide the zero.
