Why do you make editing a pain in the ass?

  • I’m using a pre-made theme. I changed to a new one because it wouldn’t let me edit the homepage image. I need to be able to change all the images easily and insert my own. Why is that so difficult? How do I change or delete all the images? At this point, it seems like it may be easier to delete them, insert my own box to put my photos in. It defeats the point of having a website if I get stuck with images that have nothing to do with my website.

  • We can’t see your site or the theme you use, so we can’t give specific information. Normally every theme has a manual. So you’ll certainly find information about how to modify the demo content to your needs.

  • Hi there,

Are you referring to the first image on your homepage with the heading Come On A Walk With Me? If yes, that image is coming from the Cover block. You can replace that image in the cover block by doing the following:

    * Open the homepage in the editor.
    * Click the List view of the blocks at the top bar. See this screenshot to find out which icon to click.

    * Click the “Cover block” to select it.
    * From the block toolbar, click where it says “Replace” and choose another image from the media library (or upload a new one).

Once you’ve selected a new image, that will be used as the background image for this cover block.

I strongly suggest checking out the full instructions of the Cover block at this link: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/cover-block/

Also, please note that your plan comes with live chat and email support. You can send us a direct email/start a chat by going to this link: https://wordpress.com/help/contact – that way you can get a faster response/direct support that comes with your plan.
