user cannot edit post
-
Every time I try to create a new post or edit an old one, a red error message pops up saying “Oops! An error occurred while saving the post. User cannot edit posts”.
This is on Tor Browser 4.0.4 (firefox ESR 31.5.0). I have already tried clearing my cache and cookies.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you the Admin of the blog? Remember that WP.com needs your browser to accept cookies in order to do dashboard functions, so you may need to tweak TOR.

It seems that the new mechanism for new/editing posts is broken. The only way to fix it is to force it to use the old mechanism by going to:
https://yourblogname.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
or https://yourblogname.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpIt seems I am not the only person having this problem.

Hello! There’s no need to post in every thread you find about this. It ends up taking us longer to triage your support needs when you do that.
Your issue is actually separate from those threads as well. The new editor currently does not work with the Tor browser because of the way it handles our proxy requests. You’ll probably also have issues with other parts of the new dashboard as well.
I’ve opened a public Github issue about this that you can follow here: https://github.com/Automattic/wpcom-proxy-request/issues/8
