uploading a zipfile to change a WordPress theme

    I am new to WordPress and just created a site using Libre2 free theme. However, I am trying to start an online magazine and just discovered the GreatMag theme online which seems like a better fit.

    However, the GreatMag theme is not available in the theme options category on my WP page. Therefore, I have downloaded GreatMag as a zip file and don’t know how to install it.
    I have tried to go online to find directions for the install but I don’t understand where to find the “add new” button on my Libre2 site so I can upload the zip file. Any ideas?

    Hi there!

    Uploading a theme as you’ve described is something you would do on a different kind of WordPress site, called “self-hosting.” Sites like yours, that are hosted on WordPress.com use the themes provided at http://wordpress.com/themes.
