Hello!
The location of images are theme-based. Some themes may allow it some do not.
You might try searching for one and clicking “preview” on it before you activate to see if it allows it.

To add a logo to the left of the site title in the Twenty Eleven theme, add the following CSS to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
#site-title a { background: url(http://i2.wp.com/s.w.org/about/images/logos/wordpress-logo-notext-rgb.png?w=50) center left no-repeat; padding-left: 60px; }
Change the url() value to the image URL from your media library and update the padding value as needed.
