Transferring my post into another domain here on WordPress

    How do I transfer files from one website to another here in WordPress? I want to start using a different domain name that are present. We have for free but will end up making it a paid domain then close out my old domain.

    Hi there! The best way to move files from one site to the other on the free plan is to use our export and import tools.

    You can set that up by going to Tools > Export in your Dashboard on the original site, which send a link to your email to download your site’s contents into an XML file.

    Then you can switch over to the new site, and go to Tools > Import in the Dashboard. You’ll be prompted to upload an XML file, and you can select or drag-and-drop the downloaded XML file here.

    To ensure maximum compatibility, ensure that you have the same theme on both sites, and give the media files time to upload. You’ll know when all images have been copied over when the number of items in Media is the same on the new site as what you had on the original site.
