transfering domain

    HI I bought a 2 year domain name with go daddy, which option do I choose for you guys transfer domain>?please advise, thank you for your help

    Good morning –

    It sounds like you want to use that domain with us at WordPress.com. Is that right?

    There’s 2 options to achieve that. The first option would be to transfer the domain to us. With that option we take over as the registrar and your domain is released entirely from GoDaddy. The benefit is that all of your site-related things are in one space. Domains need to be at least 60 days old for that to be possible though.

    The second option, with no age requirement, is domain mapping. With that choice the domain remains registered at GoDaddy but it points to WordPress.com. You build your site with us and that version is what is displayed on the internet when someone visits it.
