  Is there a way to easily transfer my wordpress.com blog and set up a wordpress.org one without having to set everything up again?

  I’m noticing major drops in web stats and the only difference I can think of is that my higher rankings were from the days that my blog shared hosting with my website…now people are going to my site and immediately getting directed to wordpress which I think is hurting me.

  Without setting up again “no” but you can export your blog contents from wp.com and import them into a wp.org blog. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/can-i-migrate-my-blog-from-here-to-another-blog-somewhere-else/

  FWIW-it’s not considered good web practice to repeat your meta tags in the body of your site. As a matter of fact Google frowns on it. That could certainly have an adverse effect on your rankings.
