Theme loading in WP (latest version) not working

  • Hello. I am trying to load a theme placed in the “themes” directory. Some Javascript runs and brings up greyed background and a loading bar (see screenshot: http://www.ryankaskel.com/static/help/wp_help.png). It then fails to load the theme and if you click anywhere on the window, the grey and loading bar revert back to the standard “theme picker” option in the admin. I enabled Firebug and it said there were some errors and that is included in the screenshot. I cannot replicate this problem with the same version of WP in the same browser instance (I’ve also tried this in Firefox running on Windows and Linux and the same result occurs). Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Ryan

  • Gee, that staff response was pretty damn useful, huh?

This exact same thing keeps happening to me. However, I can right click and ‘open a new window’ for a template of the theme, but there is no option in the top right hand corner to activate the theme.
With crap like this, I’m considering changing to a different blog website. This one isn’t all that great. I mean, I love when website staff are ignorant and don’t actually answer your forum question…

  • That’s an autoresponse.

The OP is in the wrong forum. The autoresponse is the correct response. Given that the site linked to your name is a Myspace page, you’re probably not in the right forum either.
