Tagline….Don't understand

I was thinking of adding to my blogs title, but not sure how to accomplish that. I added a tagline but it does not show up anywhere.
Is it even possible? I wanted something like Stout Standards….Musings from etc….

Does the Pilcrow live demo site display a Tagline? Not all theme are designed to display them. And, that’s a very old retired theme https://theme.wordpress.com/retired/pilcrow/ so the recommendation is to chnage themes.
A Tagline (not a blog description) is meant to be a very brief branding message. Your expanded blog description is meant to appear on your About page.
The Site title (blog name) and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General … “save changes”.
That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. Note that the site title (blog name) and blog address URL do not have to be the same but it’s better for SEO (search engine optimization) if they are the same.

It does allow for a tagline, but I will forgo doing that. Thanks for the info.
The Pilcrow theme may be old but I like it, and frankly afraid to move to another. What does that mean for me in the future?
