Subheading Links
-
Hi all,
I’m sure I’ve read somewhere on the FAQ that we can create links that will take a reader automatically to a certain part of a page.
So if I had a page that had a number of subheadings for example, I could create a link that would load the page at one of the subheadings.
Unfortunately, I cannot recall what that was called or how to do it, so I was wondering if someone who does know can link me to the relevant FAQ or ‘how to’ page?!
Thanks in advance,
Adam.

Hi there, I’m not sure, is this what you mean? http://support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/

Hi, thanks carocat, that’s exavtly what I was after (how you managed to interpret that from my confused rambling I’ll never know!).
Unfortunately I’m having trouble figuring out how to work it.
I’m assuming the following needs to be put in on the html editor:
But do I put the text that I want the link to be where it says “Click me” and a number of some sort instead of “unique-identifier”?
Help much appreciated!
Cheers!

oh no my code turned into a link!
it should read:
<a*** href=”#unique-identifier”>Click me
but without the stars (***)!

Well, you did it all on your own!
Glad it’s working, I’ve been meaning to do it on one of my pages, but it’s a lot of effort!
