SSL certificate for domain inside a multisite network

    Hello, I’m looking to install a SSL certificate for a site inside a wordpress multisite network. I have no problems with ssl certificate of subdomains of the main site, like bob.maindomain.com , but if i try to add the certificate to a domain like charly.com (another site inside the multisite maindomain.com) the browsers detect a problem with ssl certificate and gives the warning message of insecure site to charly.com. What can i do to avoid this? thanks in advance for any help you can provide me.

    Btw the certificate is issued using cpanel letsencrypt ssl tool.

    I had the same problem and to correct this I simply used both domains types such as yourdomainname.com and http://www.yourdomainname.com and etc for each domain that you have. This fixed my issue (I have several on the site) and I have my WP setup with multi-site as domains and not folders. Hope this helps.

    I found this posting as I noticed that ZeroSSL is not a paid for service and I cannot renew my certs as it is a multi-domain cert when you setup your site this way. So I’m looking for a solution. Have any solutions? Maybe we can help each other out.

    Please contact your hosting provider directly for help, as they control SSL on your domain.

    For help with a multisite network, please ask the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ for advice, as they provide support for the open source WordPress software you’re using.

    The forum you’re posting in now only provides support for free sites hosted on WordPress.com.
