Site Deletion
-
My site was deleted without my consent. I’m afraid someone hacked my account. Can this be reversed?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
This site has not been deleted. https://tolobike.wordpress.com/
Staff have records of who did what and when they did it. So please provide the URL for the deleted blog in question in the form of an active link starting with http:// -
If anyone is posting anything to your blog or removing anything from it, or if your blog has been deleted and you did not delete it, then it’s most likely that you have provided them with the ability to do so, either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to your login information, or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what your log-in information is.
Who, aside from you, has access to your login information?
Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs
Read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/
1. If you can log-in go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.
2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/
4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
You can also reset your password via your Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
6. Use two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

Thanks for the advice. I’m pretty sure I know who did it. So the deletion of a blog cannot be undone?
-
I’m pretty sure I know who did it.
As I said above Staff have records. If you actually provided the means of deleting site content or the site to anyone else then you will have to accept the fact that Staff will not restore it for you.
-
So the deletion of a blog cannot be undone?
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/Please provide the URL starting with http:// of this deleted blog like I asked you to above.

I think I used the wrong word earlier. My blog has been deleted. The site https://tolobike.wordpress.com/ still exists, but all of its content has been deleted. Is that something that can be reversed?
-
Thanks for the clarification.. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when Staff respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Someone got a hold of my login information, yes. I’m maybe using the wrong wording saying that I was hacked.
My blog content was deleted without my consent. Can this be undone?
-
Hi @tolobike,
I’m afraid we will not be able to undo this deletion. In the future, please be sure not to disclose your passwords and enable two-step authentication so this situation is avoided.
