Retired theme

It’s not a good idea to use or keep a retired theme. Themes are retired because they can no longer support the majority of new WordPress features or they are no longer compatible. WordPress.com has a lot of free themes, I’m sure you’ll find one you like.

If you wish to return to the Origin theme it is still available to be activated (for you but not for newer accounts) via the wp-admin dashboard.

I already tried the wp-admin dashboard but the Origin theme is unavailable. -

I’m aware of the limits of the retired themes. The blog is the official website of the library where I work, so I just need to switch back rapidly and when I will have the time to work properly on the future theme, I will change for good. -
Hi folks,
I just tested to see if Origin was available at the WP-Admin themes page on an old site of mine. It is, but a search on the word “Origin” doesn’t bring it up as the top result. It’s actually the sixth result, the third in the second row of three.
Fwiw, I’m happily using numerous retired themes on my WordPress.com sites. All of my favorite themes have been retired!

Thanks but… it doesn’t work for me. And I already reviewed all the themes, one by one. -
What’s the address of the Themes page that you did the search in? If it’s not https://bibliobelco.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php, then you might be being automatically redirected to the Calypso Themes page. If this is the case, then to avoid this, make sure that the “Show wp-admin pages if available” option at Account Settings > Dashboard Appearance is enabled, as described in the Dashboard Appearance section of the Account Settings support page.
