If my only option is to upgrade, I want to annul the contract… how do i get out. I have not had this ‘problem’ with other hosting companies–only Dotster. Should I be talking to them or to WordPress.

In order to remove the .wordpress.com URL and replace that with a domain URL you have to purchase either a Premium upgrade http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/ or a Business upgrade http://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/. Both upgrades are renewable annually and you are billed annually for them.

thankyou timethief, you are not a wasteoftime
I will use this–
“In order to remove the .wordpress.com URL and replace that with a domain URL you have to purchase either a Premium upgrade or a Business upgrade.”The topic is resolved…. the issue, however, is not.

timethief, i was wondering about the refund policy you mentioned above.
is the 30day refund period for people who purchase the premium bundle applicable if you have been renewing for a few years? i may need to cancel but i wont know for about 1 week after renewal. can i cancel then if it is within 30 days of the renewal? and not a new upgrade / purchase?
thanks so much!

@instadesigner – Cancellations for renewals need to be handled by Staff. I’ve tagged this for their attention, but please confirm what is the site in question?
