Remove the word "Category" from the page header for Nikau
-
I would like to remove the big header/title that says “Category: (category name)” on the top of my pages. I have it set up so that my posts in specific categories show on specific pages, but I would like to remove the header that states it.
The blog I need help with is thefashionplatemag.com

Hi,
In the topic Help: Removing “Category:” from page title!! @thesacredpath provides the following code,
.category .page-title { display: none; }
-
This is what you’d need to hide the entire page heading for category archives in Nikau:
.category h1.archive-title { display: none; }
Let me know if this is what you’re after.
There isn’t a good way to hide only the word “Category” and keep the category name displayed.
musicdoc1 – CSS is almost always theme-specific, so the CSS Richard (thesacredpath) provided in that other thread for a different theme won’t work here. You can use a browser inspector to find the right element to target and test CSS.

Thank you musicdoc1 and kathrynwp for your reply. kathrynwp, I was able to remove the word “category” successfully with your help. This will do for now.
Happy Sunday!
