  Hello! I’m a web designer, and one of my customers would like to close her self-hosted WordPress.org account and have me build her one simple page using the free version of WordPress.com. We understand that the new domain name will have wordpress in it. However, will we be able to point her domain name (let’s say it’s called “MyCustomerName.com”) to the WP.com servers so that anyone trying to access her domain name will be taken to the new WP.com site, even if it means the name in the URL will be something like MyCustomerName.WordPress.com in the end? Her domain name is registered outside of WordPress.com.

  This is not a wordpress.com problem but rather something your domain registrar must and can solve.
