Recommend WordPress Templates for an Academic Library Portal

    Hi everyone!

    I need help regarding the selection of free (as much as possible) WordPress templates/themes that are very good, flexible, customizable, responsive, and extensible for an academic/university library portal.

    Whilst I’m trying to search online, the results that I get mostly are using paid ones. Would someone recommend particular themes that I can easily tinker with?

    Specific links (or names of free WordPress themes) would do. Feel free to recommend paid ones too if ever. :-)

    Can you confirm that your site is going to be hosted here on WordPress.com? Googling is likely finding you themes for self-hosted sites, which is where you run the WordPress software on your own hosting. If the site is hosted on WordPress.com, it’s best to peruse the themes through the showcase here:

    https://wordpress.com/themes/

    You can restrict the search by paid or free using the options at the top.
