Read more tag stress

    I am using the Libretto theme and have a need to insert the ‘read more’ tag in my posts as they tend to be long.

    Please don’t send an article link telling me how to do this because I have read them all and when they describe adding the tag from the visual editor, my visual editor does not offer that option. I repeat, the tag is absent.

    I even tried inserting straight html via the code editor, publishing it but nooooo! nothing works!

    Pulling my hair out! This commonplace blog feature should not be this hard! :-)

    There are various ways of achieving what you want. Are you in the Block editor and reading instructions that only apply to the classic wp-admin editor? (if so switch to the classic editor when you’re editing a post via the three dots top right and scroll down to the bottom).
