problem with mapping a domani registered with tophost

    Hi,
    i would like to map my domine http://www.quantescene.com (registered with TopHost) on my wordpress blog’s http://quantescene.wordpress.com
    I have alredy contacted the Tophost support, and they told me that they doesn’t allow to change NS server settings.
    They told me to ask at wordpress the IP or the FQDN of the server in order to point the domain quantescene.com to the blog (quantescene.wordpress.com) address.
    I know that wordpress does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address, but i really don’t know how to get out of this.
    i’m going crazy with that.

    There is no permanent static IP address for any WordPress.com blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore WordPress.com does not purport to provide static IP addresses as they will change. You could try using:

    ns1.wordpress.com / 198.181.116.9
    ns2.wordpress.com / 198.181.117.9
    ns3.wordpress.com / 192.0.74.9

    Hi @quantescene , you can add multiple A records to point to our IPs. Those IP addresses will change from time to time, though, and you will need to update them accordingly.

    I will send you the current IP addresses via email.
