Oxygen Feature Slider
-
I am just starting out so I kind of need a lot of help.
I am trying to use a theme with a feature slider.
I figured out how to get my posts on the Oxygen theme to show up, but is there anyway to have my slider link to my pages instead of my posts? I am not sure if that is even possible but it would make this whole thing a lot easier if it did. If there are any other themes that would allow that please let me know.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No Posts and Pages are very different. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ The post slider is for featured posts not pages. There are no themes here that feature pages the way you indicate.
Characteristics of pages
Static Pages sit outside the blog structure. Static pages cannot have Categories and Tags assigned to them. Pages do not appear in our RSS feeds. Most Pages do not have date stamps in their URLs. They have very little “google juice” Other bloggers rarely if ever backlink to static Pages in their published posts. Consequently, Page structured blogs have a very difficult time:
1. securing traffic;
2. securing comments;
3. securing backlinks;
4. achieving authority in their niche;
5. achieving Google PageRank.

I am just trying to get the layout figured out before I put in the actual content, so the site is basically just a test run right now.

When SEO is considered a Page base structure is not the best choice to make. You’re welcome.

You could read the theme description and follow the instructions provided there.

When you first activate Oxygen, you’ll see your posts in a traditional blog format but if you’d like to showcase your content in an online magazine-like fashion, then you can use the Showcase Page template.The Showcase Page template offers a featured slider for Sticky Posts. To use the template, create or edit a page, and assign it to the Showcase Page template from the Page Attributes module. If you’d like use the Showcase Page template on your front page, go to Settings → Reading and set the Front page option to Static Page. Select the page you just assigned the Showcase Page template to as your front page and then choose another page to serve as your blog page.

designating a sticky post > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-postsThe front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page “Welcome“ for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
