Only want to use Plugins, not appearance editor

    I was curious if I could just use plugins in my php code. I don’t need any appearance but the plugins are so useful and all I want to do is have my index with the ability to add and use plugins in my code.

    Just curious because having the appearance editor just seems to destroy my code that I am using.

    Hi there,

    Plugins can’t be used in PHP code, as it works the other way around – you use PHP code to write plugins, which you then install on a site.

    Using plugins on WordPress.com is only possible with our Business Plan upgrade.

    The Appearance editor is not available on WordPress.com sites at all, as we don’t allow direct modifications to WordPress and theme files for sites hosted with us, regardless of plan.
