newbie is clueless re: badge or widget…

    hey, i am very new to wordpress and blogs. another website (blogcatalog.com) wants me to add a “badge” to my site (with some sort of link-back and ID) before they will review and promote my blog. there is some code that i am supposed to copy and paste on my wordpress site. how do i do this?

    You put the code into a “Text Widget”, but the ‘help’ they’ll give you is pretty negligible. The good buttons can look cool on your blog though.

    Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > drag the text widget into the sidebar, paste in the code (HTML only, no script), save and reload your blog. It should appear there.
