My footer credit is appearing in the wrong place

    I was fiddling with the footer credit on my website trying to customize the text and when I published the site, I noticed that the credit was

    1. Not using the text I put in, and

    2. Somehow now linking to my other WordPress blog, which is completely unrelated to my current site and I don’t want them linked.

    I couldn’t figure out how to reset the credit so I just deleted it. However, now that I’ve tried to add it back in, it is now appearing underneath the footer instead of inside of it. It doesn’t appear in the editor, only once published, so it is unstyled and I can’t move it. I just want to put it back in the footer. Please help!
