My client's wordpress.com site has been held hostage by previous editor

I’ve been engaged to help the owners of loveyourtent.com to regain access to the above blog site that was managed by another editor whom they fell out with and who locked them out of the account. What is the best way to handle this please?
Thanks

Hi Cheryl,
The only way we can give anyone access to a WordPress.com site is if they’re able to verify ownership of the site/account via our account recovery process:
https://wordpress.com/en/support/account-recovery/
Based on your question above it sounds like the person you’re trying to help isn’t the owner of the WordPress.com account in question, in which case they won’t have the required verification info and we won’t be able to give them access.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I don’t think they have ownership of the account. Is there any way then that we can get this content taken down, in that it is no longer representing the company although it claims to be the “offical blog”? What would be the pathway to that outcome instead? Massive thank you for your help in advance :)
