Mapped domain
-
Hello, we own a domain since 2017, and want to map it to wordpress. When I try to map it, system says it is already mapped. The thing is a member of our project begin mapping it years ago , but we cannot find which account was used for this action.
How can we learn which account a domain is linked? -

I can map it on my end. Please select the Use domain I own option to properly map that domain.
Here are the step-by-step instructions:

Hm, try to purchase the plan without adding a custom domain (keep the pudcaditu.wordpress.com for now) and we’ll add the domain mapping on our end.
Let us know once you got the plan. Thanks! -
Hi there,
Our Domains team has informed me that the root of that subdomain (itu.edu.tr) is indeed mapped to a site owned by a different account.
This means that only the owner of that domain can map subdomains (such as pudcad.itu.edu.tr) to other sites.
Therefore, you need to find the person owning that account and ask them to remove the mapping for that domain. We cannot share any information about them as it’s against our privacy policy.

To clarify, we need to hear from the owner of the account that fstat mentioned in his reply. This is the only way forward.
