  I used to blog on WP and just started a new blog, but I really don’t like two things about the new dashboard… one, it defaults to stats, which I’m trying to ignore, and two, there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to visit/see my site. Can I still use the old dashboard? If so, how?

  Yes. What I post below applies only to sites hosted by wordpress.COM. It does not apply to wordpress.ORG software installs.

  You must be logged in under the exact same username that registered the site to be able to access the site. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  *Replace NAME_OF_BLOG in that URL with the actual name of your blog.

  I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.

  To start a new post in the classic editor http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/wp-admin/link-add.php
