Login assistance
-
I continue to be blocked from accessing my website through WordPress.
Every time I try to log into WordPress to work on my website I receive the following message “You must log in to access the admin area.” And when I try to access the Admin Area login using my WordPress code I get this message, “<<website>> redirected you too many times. Try clearing your cookies.”
I have cleared ALL my cookies without success. I am unable to access my website to make changes to it. What can be done to allow me to access my website.
This has been happening periodically for almost a month. What is going wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also, every time I actually get to a login screen I get the following message – One Time Password (i.e. 2FA) Check your OTP app to get this password. There is no OTP provided at any of the options – cell phone, email address, etc.

Good Morning –
Looking at the site mentioned I can see that it is hosted through a2hosting.com rather than WordPress.com.
To clarify, what is the URL in the address bar where you’re trying to sign in and getting the 2fa prompt?
Sites that run their own installation of WordPress (like the one listed) can get help through the community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or their hosting provider. Sadly, we can’t provide much help from here because the site isn’t on our service and we don’t have any access to it.
There’s a few ways you can change the password for your WordPress site. I hope this helps: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

I received assistance from a2hosting. The problem was located in a plug-in, All-in-One-Security (AIOS) Security and Firewall by the host.
The only way to fix the problem was to have the host deactivate the plug-in. I have deleted the plug-in from my website.
The url I was accessing was the login for the website stjohnsepiscopal-suffolk.org/cgpd.
This is no longer a problem because I deleted the offending plug-in.
